This agreement is between CCR Test Gallery (the "Gallery") and the maker accepting it on Salish Sea Crafts (the "Maker"). It covers work the Maker places with the Gallery on consignment through the Salish Sea Crafts platform.
Work is placed with the Gallery on consignment. Title to every item stays with the Maker until it is sold to a buyer. The Gallery never owns the work and may not pledge, lend or alter it.
From the moment an intake is recorded until the item is sold, returned or withdrawn, the Gallery holds the work in its custody. The Gallery insures the work and is strictly liable to the Maker for loss, theft or damage while the work is in its custody, up to the agreed value of each item.
Each item is recorded at intake with an agreed value (the amount owed to the Maker if the item is lost or damaged) and a minimum price below which the Gallery will not sell it. Both are set by the Maker at intake and can be changed only with the Maker's agreement.
Items are offered in the Gallery at the same price the Maker lists on Salish Sea Crafts. The Gallery may not discount an item below the Maker's listed price without the Maker's agreement.
On each sale of a consigned item fulfilled by the Gallery, the Gallery receives 30% of the pre-tax item price. Salish Sea Crafts retains its platform fee of 10% of the pre-tax item price. The Maker receives the remainder. Sales of the Maker's work that the Maker ships from home carry no Gallery fee.
Payment is made by Salish Sea Crafts by transfer to the Maker's Stripe account when an order is paid. Payment timing: 0 days after the sale (0 means paid at sale by Salish Sea Crafts).
The Maker grants the Gallery permission to display consigned work in the Gallery and on the Gallery's page on Salish Sea Crafts. Where the Maker has granted social-media consent, the Gallery may photograph and post the work with credit to the Maker.
Every intake and return is recorded on Salish Sea Crafts with quantities and conditions. The Maker has 7 days from an intake record to dispute its contents; after that the record is final. The Maker may withdraw unsold work at any time with reasonable notice, and the Gallery may return unsold work at any time; either party records the return on the platform at handoff.
Buyers collecting an order at the Gallery have 48 hours from handoff to report damage. Refunds for damage reported in that window are handled through Salish Sea Crafts and reverse the corresponding payments.
Either party may end this agreement at any time. The agreement continues to apply to work still in the Gallery's custody until that work has been sold, returned to the Maker or withdrawn, and the Gallery will not accept new intake from the Maker after notice is given.
The Gallery may publish a new version of these terms on Salish Sea Crafts. Work already on consignment keeps selling under the version the Maker accepted; new intake requires the Maker to accept the current version.
