How the signup process works

From application to first sale, here's what to expect.

1

Submit your application

Tell us about your craft, your island, and your story. The application takes about 5 minutes.

2

We review your application

Our team reviews every application for quality and fit, usually within 48 hours. We look for genuine handcrafted work made on the San Juan Islands.

3

Approval notification

If approved, you'll receive an email with a link to complete your account setup.

4

Set up Stripe payments

Stripe's secure onboarding collects your identity, bank account, and tax information (W-9 for US sellers). This is required by federal law. Stripe files Form 1099-K on our behalf when your payouts exceed the IRS threshold in effect for the tax year.

5

List your products and start selling

Add your products, set your prices, and your shop goes live. You keep 90% of every sale.

Tax & legal note

Stripe collects your tax information (W-9 for US sellers, W-8 for non-US) as part of their onboarding. This is required by federal law. Stripe files Form 1099-K on our behalf when your payouts exceed the IRS threshold in effect for the tax year (some states set lower thresholds). You are responsible for reporting your income and paying applicable taxes. See the Stripe 1099-K guide for current thresholds.
